Luminara Unduli is a bad character and needs a change

Luminara fills too many roles too easily.

Her basic attack gives her a chance to Evade, and she has Ability Block. I don't mind those aspects of her.

However, what really grinds my gears the most is that she's classified as an Attacker but has a Heal Ability. Her Heal Ability should easily disqualify her as an Attacker; Attackers should not heal, they should attack. Reclassifying her as a Healer would alleviate a lot of my concerns.

If reclassifying her as a Healer is not an option then at least dial back her healing ability. Make her heal just a little bit less initially and/or dial back her healing-over-time just a touch. Not a lot to either, just a few percentage points of the numbers we never see that calculate the actual heal.

On top of it all, if she's the Leader then Jedi get a decent Evade buff and everyone else gets a nice buff as well. That's not that bad, but coupled with her Attacker classification, her well-above-average-healing, the chance to get Evade on a Basic Attack, and the fact that her Ability Block also heals her a bit tips the scales too much in her favor.

As it is now, she's a direct upgrade from the Jedi Consular that can cover too many bases. Make her an Attacker or make her a Healer. She should not do both.

    For the most part, yes. It is unfun to play against her because she can cover too many bases.
    Of course she's going to seem great if you use her, she has too many good skills.

    It's when it's upgraded a lot that it becomes frustrating to play against because she initially heals her friends, then it continues to heal them for a couple turns after. She's classified as an Attacker but her Heal Ability is such a big asset to her. She should be reclassified as a Healer, that's mainly what I want. If the Devs made that their only change to her I'd be happier.

    Of all the characters to nerf, you call for Lumi? How bad is your team that you can't take put Lumi? I mean, I see her once in a blue moon in Arena. See her fairly often in GW, but she's still not untouchable.


    True, Barriss is a more effective Healer because that's her main priority, same with Mace and QGJ their main priority is Attacking. What grates my cheese is she's classified as an Attacker but her main asset is her Heal.
    Fighting her in the Arena isn't my problem, it's mostly GW. Maybe it is me and I just need to adapt or change my playstyle in GW a bit. She's not untouchable, I agree, but her skill set just makes her a tad bit too frustrating to play against.

    I think Luminara is pretty useful especially in the beginning of the game, but she is far far away from being OP.

    What I do know is that she flows between Attacker and Healer too easily.

    I'm not saying OP, more accurately she's just frustrating to play against. I just really want her to be classified as a Healer since that's her main gimmick.

    She also does above average damage, which is why she is classified as an attacker.

    Also, arbitrarily changing her from Attacker to Healer would screw some people's challenge teams up.

    Well if you're playing this game for 6 months and facing Luminara in GW is your biggest struggle, then you must be pretty lucky, because there are characters way worse than her which you would normally meet after that time. I understand your point but changing her classification would make no big difference.

    Perhaps not new enough to be struggling with lumi, but I guess it depends how much you play. What kind of squad are you using and your player level?



    I try to play every day, or at least open the app and get the monthly rewards.
    I'm level 84 and in Arena I use 80 Maul IX, 82 Vader VIII, 70 Poggle VIII, 72 Mace VIII, and 70 Consular VIII. Not the best but it gets the job done, not my problem though. It's mostly GW that I get frustrated with her because of the change in levels and gear tiers between all my characters.

    Yeah, but in my mind if you're doing the Attacker challenges you shouldn't have a Heal. That should be in the Healer & Support challenges.

    It wouldn't make a big difference, I agree, but my pedantic nature would be quelled because she would be rightly classified. That's probably why it's my favorite simple change to her. That reclassification would make her whole skill set make sense to me.
