That's just pure pedantry.

If anyone's actually playing the game, they've already made the statement that they consider playing the game worth their time.

The cost in question was crystals. Farming gear with energy does not cost you crystals.

The mistake in this thought is the missing option of another game with more efficient time/fun-ratio. Everyone is free to waste his time, but the complaining of some users is hard to understand aswell as the cheering of the hardcore-fans.
Do what you want, but don't complain if it wasn't what you wanted...

The new gear pieces are a blatant slap in the face to FTP and PTP. They claimed it was to alleviate the flow of stun guns and mkIIIcarbantis, yet they could've just done that with MkIV Carbantis and Mk7 detonators.
