Dark Forces (and the Jedi Knight series), where Kyle Katarn is introduce was created byyyyyy Lucasarts. Guess who owns Lucasarts and alllll its old licenses/properties? So this talk of not being able to get him in game because of any sort or legality issue is bantha poodoo.

I would assume hes fairly low on the priority list do to the fact that he and mara now exsist in the realm of "disney will probably use these characters in the future" similar to thrawn.

However, i think it would be an excellent idea for CG to host a fan favorite vote similar to how Hasbro occasionally will release an action figure based on consumer interest. Thats how people got their Jaina Solo figure after the old eu crash.

Tldr, should and totally could release prime fan favorites for goh. How, when, and with what fanfair? Time will tell.
