These events are stupid. Plain and simple. I would much rather them just give us the characters on a hard node so at least we have to potential to get them higher star levels. All these events do is give us 3* characters we’re not gonna use because we can’t get them powerful enough without spending hundreds on packs. They have to start releasing characters in different ways these events aren’t fun, most people can auto the whole thing and then forget about the character. I understand they want to make money, but why not release them on hard nodes or even cantina and give double drops? At least there’s the potential for higher star level. And people would spend on crystals but not nearly the amount needed for those packs in the shop.

Marquee events are the best case scenario. We get free toons and get to test out their kits, but players with money (deservedly) get their head start. Its much better than the aurodium release model which was no good for ftp.

Marquee events are the best case scenario. We get free toons and get to test out their kits, but players with money (deservedly) get their head start. Its much better than the aurodium release model which was no good for ftp.

Tournaments in the form they had them were not competitive and a lot of people did not like them which is why they were scrapped.

They release toons through this method to give them exclusivity so people who can spend have an advantage, which they should get as they support the game.

They do have other release methods for toons.

This method give 'new content' for us to play and then offers the grind we all know and love. If you don't like them just don't play them and you can start your grind from 0 like you want.

The events also allow us to unlock them and gear them up as we see fit from day 1, which means we get TB value and can prep the toon if we feel we are going to use them later in the game.

People will pay silly amounts to star and gear up these new characters. The pricing plans works for EA/CG, so it won’t change.

Mine's 5* and I usually go all the way in GW with my sith squad. His health steal is quite helpful. Also AB Places of Power is a cinch with DN (L) and Maul.
