So, I really like the Grand Arena as a concept, but is anyone else experiencing a laughable imbalance in match-ups? Everyone in my guild (49 members), including myself, has had basically the same experience - the match-ups are drastically uneven in favor of our opponents. The only way that any one of us seems to win is if our opponent is a no show at some stage. When they first started this, they said that the match-ups would be more even, against other players with similar squads and power, but so far it all seems stacked in favor of pay to play players and we have all really questioned the method of matching up opponents. Is anyone else experiencing this? I can't seem to find any other complaints, but I know if my entire guild is complaining about the same thing, we can't be the only ones.

Trying to match down to the level of individual characters is a rabbit hole the likes of which would make even Alice balk.

The current matching system is far too simple and stinks to the high heavens, and I say this as someone who either wins or comes in 2nd. They need to look at Zetas and number of toons G12 and whether or not someone has Revan for starters. At least if they added those 3 match ups would be a lot closer to fair. Not sure about 4milGP+, maybe they need different parameters for those people but I have to think there is still a VERY large pool at that level to create match-ups from

There are issues around matchmaking using total GP, particularly when there are no fleet zones. Check your squad GP vs your opponent's.There isn't really an advantage to pay-to-play though.

An entire guild only battling players with stronger rosters? I'm curios to see what kind of rosters you all have.

Carrie said that in the next title update there will be a revision of the matchmaking. I believe its taking into consideration the ship vs character gp. I'm not sure about individual character match ups

they need start taking total zetas into consideration. i am constantly fighting players with = GP who have 2x the zetas

Any change that limits matchmaking possibilities is not welcome when u hit 4m and above. U will end up facing the same players over and over again.

We are all laid back players and have a wide range of experience levels. But a lot of us are have been playing for a long time. I think one of the issues might be that a lot of us have high GP but it's really evenly spread out. My GP is over 3mil but I don't have many decent teams over 90k.

Hey, I don't claim to know anything about how they would do it, just that that was what they said when it was first announced - that matchups would be made based on similar rosters.

See, there is a good point. I have high GP (over 3mil) but that is really evenly spread out. I have an amole amount of zetas, but my opponents always seem to have double if not triple the zetas. And it seems as if their GP is more concentrated so they have more teams at 90k+ than I do.
