What an arrogant attitude to think your shard=the standard for everyone's shard. Swgoh.gg shows clearly that zaul is still meta by a land slide. The only reason these Rex teams are so prevelant is to counter the meta. Rex teams get smashed with fo, res,Jedi and zader teams. Far from meta. They just hide themselves in a sea of zauls.
FWIW the earlier the shard the earlier it tends to adapt to meta changes. 2015 players have accrued a lot more resources in terms of gear/stars and are able to switch a little more freely. Particularly if you look at the top 20-50. Some 'younger' shards with a very competitive set of whales in the top 5-10 might be even faster to adapt than a whale-light 2015 shard but for the most part the latter is going to give you a better overall feel.
I'm on a Nov 15 shard and it's still zaul dominate by far..... It's all irrelevant tho, swgoh.GG has to be the standard because obviously every shard is slightly different depending on different variables."Ig88isboss;c-1025940" wrote:

rex has been gaining ground in the meta report on swgoh.gg, supporting the OP's claim. Maul is being used less frequently than he once was."leef;c-1025958" wrote:

It's just the response to zaul meta. The combined % between the two is still roughly the same. Still zaul meta."Ig88isboss;c-1025940" wrote:

You keep insisting that the .GG stats are the gold standard, but you're repeatedly only addressing a snapshot that fits your narrative...
Yes, stats are facts and as such they "don't lie" but they can be twisted or omitted to support one argument over another and that's exactly what you are doing. I can just as easily omit final data and simply say "Maul usage is down 8% and Rex usage is up 10%+ (more?). Obviously Rex is the meta because stats don't lie." That's just as wrong as what you are doing though... Numbers and trends have to be considered, and trends on older shards as indicated by several others are a better predictor for meta movement.
For the record '15 shard, Maul is still at 40% usage rate, but the highest Maul is rank 7 and the highest Rex is #2, (GK #1) and the Rex numbers continue to grow."Ig88isboss;c-1025962" wrote:

whether it's a response or not is irrelevant. Players have been benching their maul or they're not getting #1 anymore with their maul. That the combined percentage is roughly the same isn't really an argument in favour of it still being a maul meta.- It hasn't passed, people have just finally built up counters now. It's a cycle.
- Sith meta, everyone in top 20 has sith.
- People build up rex teams, soon rex fills up top 20.
- People build other teams to beat the rex squads (pretty much any squad)
- People put maul back in to stomp all of the other squads.
As you can see this cycle right here is revolving around 1 thing. Sith meta. - Maul L + SA + Nihilus is a really strong combo even on defense.
Rex triple cleanse is strong vs that squad, but gets destroyed by many many other squads. - Nerf dodge chance

we're currently at step 2 of this so called cycle revolving around the sith meta, the rest is just an assumption. I haven't seen any team cycle back in to being meta like that ever before, not sure why you assume this will happen now. Usually something new and shiny comes along well before any previous meta cycles back to beat the counter to it's own counter."Mullato;c-1026000" wrote:

At least someone has a brain around here.
