I think the true test of his viability will be how many people in the top 100 deploy Droid teams following this rework.
Grievous teams are zero percent of the top teams, zero percent of the top 10 teams and zero percent of the top 100 teams. The number of people using Grievous out of a sample size of 10000 is 28, around the same number as Maul as leader.
If a character or squad was viable, you would expect them to be higher than that by a large margin. And I don't buy that it is bc people haven't geared and leveled up yet. Most of the top 10 or top 50 teams even comprise whales, who historically purchase characters and throw them in arena immediately. That is not happening with Grievous at all, the clearest indication that the rework has not made the Separatist Droids remotely viable as a PvP team.
That's fine, and CGs choice, obviously, but it doesn't do anything to fix the imbalance of Revan in the Top 50 teams and surely will lead to increased indifference to the game
