I think the battle pass is like a pack, just you don't have a random content you get at once, but a known content you have to unlock by playing conquest.
Nothing to complain for, when they don't reduce the amount of free rewards you got in conquest, but add additional premium rewards. Getting more stuff by paying packs is nothing new.
