Mod Store worth it for new player?

I went through a phase of thinking the mod store was the best place to get mods, I never use it anymore though, farming and spending credits on slicing has reaped far greater rewards for me. Nothing worse than spending 5 mil credits on a mod in the mod store because it has a 5 speed etc and then it rolls nothing but defence. If you have endless credits then sure keep your eye on the store, I prefer spending the credits on slicing etc though
