Mods: damaging the game
I'm a great believer that things that take the control out of a players hands are a very negative thing in any game. A little RNG in combat is fine but it shouldn't dominate, the game is teetering on the edge on that front, mods however are totally broken.
They require:
- Zero skill
- Zero expenditure (it helps but you're still at the whim of rng)
- Zero effort
Yet they are the one factor that completely disproportionally impacts the outcome of any encounter. Mods are more important than gear level, star level, roster depth (within reason of course) and unltimately can lead to huge variances between players who are otherwise equal in every other respect yet are 100% dependent on luck.
I really don't understand why this isn't the number one issue for the community.
Thoughts?
