Mods: How do I tell the difference between a fully upgraded MK V-E mod and the different variants

Hi guys, I've been upgrading mods like crazy since they were launched and have now ended in heaps of subjectively-worthless mods because of my lack of research. And now that I'm trying to clear said mods out, I've noticed they all have the same names.

So how do I tell the difference between a fully upgraded MK V-E mod (originally gray mod) and for example, MK V-D (originally green mod) apart? Since both are now MK V-A (gold) and the stats difference are pretty minimal?

I've been searching through guides for an answer but couldn't find any. Appreciate it if anyone could help.
