move account to new OS

Having the ability to transfer game data between Apple and Android devices would be awesome. My wife is on an iPhone and will soon be changing over to an Android device. When this happens, she will lose all progress on the game and have to start over. This prevents us from spending any money on the game, knowing that this data loss is going to happen.

To prevent issues like this, having the account link to Origin, Facebook, or Google+ would allow the transfer between devices regardless of what manufacturer I decide to upgrade with.

Edit 11/09/2017:

I contacted EA support about this issue a few months back and found that there is now a way to transfer between Android and iOS systems now. There are some restrictions and it is a one time transfer but hopefully this helps anyone else having this issue.

Is this something they can do with technical support if I tell them the account information they can move it from iOS to Android.  I won't have my iOS device in a few weeks and it would be great to keep playing this game

Unfortunately we cannot move accounts cross platform. If you want to keep playing, you would have to start checking out a new account instead.

Actually I'm not very understanding. against my better judgement I have been spending real money on this game, quite a bit actually.  I won't start again from scratch.  So the option is actually now to just not play and as a bonus not give you anymore money.

Why can't you create a login system like you have done with The Simpsons: Tapped Out. SORTED.

Thanks for jumping in here, I think the initial question here was whether or not an account could be transferred from one operating system to another.  

Just like on STAR WARS™: Galaxy of Heroes, The Simpsons tapped out is tied to either your iOs or Android system account and your progress isn't transferable from one account to another. 

EDIT (21/12/16) : I apologize for any confusion I've created here and I'd like to thank @DracoDITS for bringing this mishap to my attention. The Simpsons: Tapped Out does indeed function differently than Star Wars Galaxy of heros as The Simspons: Tapped Out is linked to the Origin Account whereas SWGOH is linked to the your iOs or Android system account. 

The progress for The Simspons: Tapped Out is shared across platforms due the progress being shared across your origin account which is not the case for SWGOH, implementing this on a live game seems very unlikely.

i have to disagree - the Simpsons tapped out allows your game to be transferred between ios and android using your EA account - i know this because i have done it twice.

So why can't we do the same with Galaxy of Heroes using an EA login?
