- Did they change the drop %? I just spent 120 energy (10 hard mssions) and got 8 pieces, same thing happened earlier today, 300 energy and 21 pieces of 25

9 possible drops. 5 types get 1 chance each. 2 types get 2 chances each.
7 types. 9 drop chances.
Really. It's not hard. You can do the math yourself, I'm sure.
Don't feed the troll - I don't know if this brings up a dead topic in this thread, but CG isn't monetizing mods, they're re-monetizing mods. The mod store was once crystals and credits. (we can say crystals aren't money because we know, given the prices for those mods, that's not true for 95% of players)
Then they made the mod store credits only
now they're introducing slicing that most likely has a monetary accelerator built in, but my guess it will be a much more player friendly monetization than the extreme crystal prices of the original mod store.
Overall, I think it's a pretty balanced release. They are trying to even the playing field on mods from both a primary and secondary stat perspective. They're making it easier for newer players to farm all mod types. They're providing a format that (fingers crossed) makes it FTP friendly to get your arena squad 6 dot equipped. Plus, with the saved mod sets you can easily switch those arena mods to raid toons and back again. Personally, I'm cool with all of this, but assume I'm in the minority. - cannonfodder_iv7 years agoSeasoned Ace^ What @Rebel_yell said. Just checked my inventory and I have at least one of everything. Maybe that's enough to slice a mod - for free, on day one of them being available. If not, then I'll see what the true cost is before setting myself on fire over it. Overall, well handled so far and a significant improvement over the deployment of, say, Ships 2.0.
- 1st 2 days of bonuses I received zero slicing mats of any kind. Roughly 2000 energy spent on hard nodes. The last few days I’ve seen a massive improvement in drops. I now have 33 assorted slicing pieces.

Except in the screen shot they provided you need 35 each of the Mk 2 Pulse Modulators, Mk 1 Capacitors, and Mk 1 Amplifiers to upgrade a mod from 5E to 6A. Prepare to spend 35 times the time and energy you have spent to do that for one upgrade.
Of course, we don't know the energy refresh or drop rates for ultimate slicing material delivery vehicle, so maybe it will only take 2 months to upgrade a 5E to a 6A, or maybe it will take a year.- I think that the "Bonus Drop" is a bonus as in they are dropping off the hard nodes. Later, I take it, they will drop off of the new mod table and/or mod table level(s), and no longer drop off of the hard nodes.
- In the last 15 hard nodes, I got 6 slice materials. Sounds great, right? The downside is that I received ZERO of the characters that I'm attempting to farm. I'd trade those slice pieces on a 1 to 1 ratio.
- In the 5 days of the bonus "drops", I have a TOTAL of 21 pcs... to make it worse, I have 10pcs of 1 material needed and 0 for several others...
This drop rate is horrendous...
