That was 3 years ago though, when the game was exciting and the player population was a lot more. At this point how many have quit due to datacrons being introduced? Not necessarily as the one thing, just as a catalyst. Even content creators have quit covering SWGOH because of the continuance of tiring "just wait and see" expectations.
How many? Did you exit interview all of them, or just a representative sample?

But yes, there's someone making decisions at CG who implements based on revenue, not on anything else. They don't have to interact with the community, so they don't care how upset we get, nor how much heat community reps have to deal with. It's easy to hide behind their desk and decide what the way forward is because it has no effect on them.
Well whales loved it, spent money. Others complained in the forums like CG has no choice but to listen to the ones who play the game for free. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it was wrong. Or a bad idea.
Yes, every single person who quits does an exit interview with me. But no one knows that until they decide to quit.
Content creators check in with me first, then they do a leaving video. Cubs being the most recent, I've heard Gridan might be the next?
As far as whales, I think a lot of players liked TB because it was a new thing to do. As difficult as it was, DS TB was good. LS Geo TB has its problems, the RNG is excessive, but that doesn't matter anymore since so few will play that vs the new TB. (Not that CG was doing anything with older TBs anyway, they stopped worrying about them years ago.)
Whales will spend money regardless, until it gets to be tiresome and their money spent isn't cancelling out the time factor. (So I've heard in more than one stream / podcast) Datacrons are garbage in the sense that they ruin everything "permanent" you've done with your roster for a temporary gain. And yes, players have spent money on materials for them to keep competitive. I think I bought one 15 dollar pack at the beginning, but not since because they are flaming hot garbage that CG used to get a cash infusion from. (While also being the catalyst for some players to leave)
I would bet players who spend are spending far more on the new TB requirements than they are on Datacraps. This new TB is fun and interesting. There are still issues with it they might address when they get back from their two week Christmas vacation in February, but don't have high hopes of that. The difference is, taking my IG 86 to R6 and my Kanan and Young Han to R7 is PERMANENT. They aren't going to roll back to G12 in 4 months like these stupid datacrons that expire.
The forums are a fairly small representation of players, but they don't listen to players or content creators anywhere anyway. So why act like people who post here aren't being listened to when it's the same everywhere? Perhaps when they had a beta testing group there was some input they got from players, but now they're back to the communication level of a few years ago where they barely interact with us. (I'm guessing that's by design, not choice of those who used to interact with us regularly.)
