This game has never been balanced, it's how the devs try to keep arena interresting with an evolving meta. Adapt or lose.

What's your team? I'm sure your just smashing zaul teams. And I can't change my team.. It's called synergy.

if you use toons that can't be zeta'd and you're losing because of that, i suggest you change your team. It's as simple as that. Balance isn't going to happen.
i use rex, tfp boba, palp and shore.

Palp, shore, and boba are all tier 3 toons. They created zetas to balance older characters out against toons such as those. A lot of older characters got left in the dust though, which is the OPs point

Im offering a sollution. If you can't change the game, change the way you play. I'm not trying to justify how ea/cg runs their game, it's just the way it is. Whether i think they're doing a good job is totally irrelevant.

I'm perfectly fine with how I play the game. I'm asking for more diversity because most leader abilities are irrelevant in high end arena, no matter how well you can theory craft

i'll rephrase: If you can't change the game, change your expectations about how it should be.
we both know there isn't going to be much more diversity than there is now. In the dodge meta days it was waaaay worse.
There are atleast 7 very viable leaders and a boat load of viable characters.
