I know im going to get reemed for this, i like the coin flip. There needs to be some level of random. If you know exactly how everythings going to play out, there isnt much point. your stratagy should be able to absorb atleast a few unfavorable outcomes.
I don’t mind the random aspect of the coin flip mechanic, what I mind is when an ability is listed as an immediate bonus turn but in-game is an immediate 100% TM gain. That’s my issue, as they are treated two functionally different ways in this game but are listed as the same language.- I feel reworks would be a huge deal this year if older wording (and mechanics) were updated to the current styling

They just forgot to update the in-game ability description.- I just want Padme's bonus turn from my JKA zeta to take precedence over the bonus turn Malak takes after JKA drops him below a threshold during his bonus turn ;-;
- Nope, they are inherently different, as TM preventing abilities/status effects interact with "gains 100% TM" while they don't with "bonus turns."

Matches are much more strategic and enjoyable when not subjected to the random nature of turn order when "everyone's at 100% TM". Immediate bonus turns are awesome, let's make more use of them.

I don't agree fully. CLS yes I think that should be a bonus turn, as he's cleansing himself and healing himself so the only reason he wouldn't get that TM is if he was plagued and dazed/shocked and started at below 50% health or if he had protection up and HK was zeta'd on the other team. It's also not an attack it's him swapping his stance effectively.
Maul and Vader can be dazed and shocked and that will prevent their TM gain back to 100% TM and I think that's fine. Not everything should be a bonus turn because that just directly nerfs the abilities of Daze and Shock. You can daze B2 to shut him down, but he has fairly high tenacity so it's a balance. But if he took bonus turns instead of just gaining 100% TM that'd be beyond frustrating.
Essentially what it comes down to is not everything can be a bonus turn because then we're nerfing daze and shock and that's not balance. If we turn everything that's gain 100% TM to a bonus turn we're going to ruin the balance of a ton of characters in game, primarily the ones that apply daze and shock, not just make the 100% TM characters better."Vertigo;c-1869437" wrote:

Whoa, slow down dude! Nobody said to add bonus turns to all the characters in the game that get bonus TM from abilities or synergies, just Vader, Maul and CLS. That's it."cannonfodder_iv;c-1869805" wrote:

We can't know developer intent, but if I recall correctly, bonus terms first appeared with the GMY rework, which came after the EP rework, which really exposed the randomness associated with everybody being in the 100% TM pool. I would think anything that came out prior to Daze (Vader's culling blade) or prior to the Bonus Turn mechanic (GMY) would be subject to a review.
It looks like this was already done with Thrawn. It would be interesting to understand why shock and daze would still be intentional counters to the CLS, Vader and Maul abilities but the newer toons and/or reworks (GMY, Malak) wouldn't - outside of preserving the cash cow of course.
It's like Vader, Maul and CLS aren't allowed to be a tiny bit stronger just with one "bonus turn" than what they are, even more so after all the new crazy OP characters and tons of character reworks!
