So, long road with these GLs, for mid-game players, but the farms can be so long, figure it's good to have your eye on the horizon a bit. Kenobi would be my pick, if I had to go for one. I'm not sure I want to go for the 'easier' ones, just to have a GL. The investments are large, and Kenobi is my pick if I had to get one. Looking at prereqs, though (still a sticking point having recently returned... why do I need a bunch of stuff not even required for the battles?), it seems some rather useless toons need to be Reliced for this... I guess most would say, 'yes, it's worth it,' but at what point in the game? And I mean... does it make Kenobi a worse pick for having to upgrade so many garbage toons - I mean, I have to Relic Mace!?? Cody, Aayla, Grievous... just seems so random. Buying the Negotiator sucks, but I guess plays out well in the long-run. I realize this is maybe the longest GL journey, but trying to get some feedback on going about this, the other toon upgrades, and how this plays out on the whole in terms of time and energy used to obtain, and how worthwhile the journey is.Thank you!

GG is very good, but needs to lead a full separatist droid team to really shine. He also won’t be great prior to 7 stars/6e mods, since his damage scales off his max health. Don’t buy his shards from the shard shop. Only buy gear from the shard shop. Use your fleet currency to buy GG; he will randomly appear in that store.

GG is far from useless.Aayla is very often used with JML, JMK or in a Jedi team in TB (JKL lead). (I realize you don’t have JML yet)Mace is often used with JMK+CAT in mirror match to replace GK, since the tank is just a sacrifice. Saves GK for Padmé or something else.I ended up using Cody mor than I thought. A fifth for BB since Omega is not good and I wont gear her, or with Padmé.I think JMK is still the best GL and you can’t go wrong with that.

I can’t imagine Negotiator being a problem and Wat not being one.

As for "buying" Negotiator, what do you mean? Are you not in a good guild?

I've never seen GG be that great. I have no use for him, myself, as 5*, and don't see much point in spending enormous amounts of shards on him. I defeat his teams without trouble, and never even see him in Arena anymore.

A lot of the teams and affinities mentioned don't apply to my squads. I have very little in the way of GR toons at any useable level.

I guess I'm trying to determine if Kenobi is simply a luxury GL journey I shouldn't bother with right now, if it's going to drag me down in investing in those toons over the next several months, while ignoring others, or if there is more value in this than I currently see...

JMK with CAT is a very strong team m, probably the strongest in the game. There are counters to every team though, having a single GL squad is no longer the ‘easy button’ it was in the Arena meta days of old.

I don’t have JMK, but would consider him as a really strong first or likely second GL (After JML). Lots of Jedi team comps for GAC, TW and LSTB with those 2 GL.

It’s a long grind for one, but JMK does include some strong toons in the requirements (GG as noted already, GK to R8 for fleet, Jango for BH and Mandalorian teams, and Cad Bane for fleet).

Most people focus on GLs, but another option is to develop 4 strong synergy teams instead. That is the trade-off in time/gear. If you already have 2-3 strong toons, you can fill out more than 4 teams with the same investment.

Wait, your GG is only 5* and that’s why you think he’s not good? You still don’t have Negotiator? Maybe you should focus on your squads more and less about the GL prerequisites being “random” . GG and the Sep droids are a great squad. So’s his capital ship. Believe me there’s uses for him, you just might not be as “mid game” as you think.
