OOM Command Battle Droid - Kit Concept

My third kit concept. First off, I know this concept in particular when compared to my others may be a little too much, especially for unnamed, cannon fodder characters. But I'd like to put out that I was basing this on the Officer class from 2017's Star Wars Battlefront II, so I tried my best to keep it balanced which I am sure you'll notice with the unit's Leader ability, so the end result is that I think there's a little bit of powerful-ness but also a bit balance. Of course, all of your feedback is appreciated and, if any, changes would be made accordingly.

And lastly, I was gonna name it "B1 Battle Droid Officer", but felt like there would be some confusion with the B1 already in the game. So I decided to go with the official name that this unit is designated in canon. I also wanted this unit's Blaster Turret to differ from the ARC Trooper's, so I understand if it may seem a little odd.




Name: OOM Command Battle Droid

Tags: Dark Side, Support (TAC), Leader, Separatist, Droid, Battle Droid

Battle Droid support that commands Droids into battle.

Basic: RG-4D (Omega)

Deal Physical damage to target enemy. If the target was Target Locked, the Blaster Turret is called to assist, if it is present.


Special: Droid Protocol (Cooldown 4 turns; Omega)

OOM Command Battle Droid activates its Protocol and dispels all debuffs from Battle Droid allies.

- Battle Protocol: all Battle Droids gain 100% Turn Meter.

- Recharge Protocol: all Battle Droids recover 30% Health and 30% Protection. Reduce their cooldowns by 1. Grant 10 stacks of Droid Battalion to B1 Battle Droid.

- Blast Protocol: all Battle Droids gain Offense Up for 2 turns.


Special: Blaster Turret (Cooldown 3 turns; Omega)

Summon a Blaster Turret to battle, if the Ally Slot is available. Then, OOM Command Battle Droid inflicts Target Lock on its target enemy for 1 turn. This Target Lock can't be dispelled.

If a Blaster Turret is already present, it recovers 20% Durability and deals True damage to OOM Command Battle Droid's target enemy.


Leader: Battle Droid Commander (Omega)

Battle Droid allies gain 2 stacks of Droid Army at the start of Battle, and have +15% Offense against Target Locked enemies and Clone Troopers. Battle Droids with Droid Battalion do not gain Droid Army.

If OOM Command Battle Droid is in the Ally Slot, Battle Droids only gain 1 stack of Droid Army.

Droid Army: this unit is replaced by another Battle Droid upon being defeated. Then, lose one stack of Droid Army.


Unique: Officer's Presence(Omega)

While the OOM Command Battle Droid is active, Battle Droids assist when a Battle Droid ally uses a Special ability.

OOM Command Battle Droid's Protocols rotate everytime Droid Protocol is used. OOM Command Battle Droid starts in Blast Protocol.

Protocol rotation: Blast > Battle > Recharge


Unique: Blaster Turret (Omega)
Suppressive Fire: Deal True damage to target enemy.

Summoned Object: This object's stats scale with the summoner's stats, can only be summoned to the ally slot if it's available, and cannot be summoned in Raids. This object does not count for "Defeated Units" effects and does not count as an "Active Ally" or "Active Enemy". A unit can't be revived if this summoned object exists in their slot.

Object Properties: This object can take a turn, has 75 Speed, can be targeted, is immune to status effects, and can only target and damage an enemy that is Target Locked. This object has 100% Durability when summoned. When the OOM Command Battle Droid is defeated or the Blaster Turret reaches 0% Durability, the Blaster Turret is destroyed.

The "Battle Droid" tag is given to the following Droids:

  • B1 Battle Droid
  • B2 Super Battle Droid
  • Droideka
  • MagnaGuard
  • The kit looks fine, I just don't understand why a Battle Droid has a Blaster Turret.

    Thanks for the feedback. As for the Blaster Turret, well, as I said in the introduction, I was basing the unit on the Officer class from Battlefront II, including its abilities. But I get where you're coming from, indeed.

    It is one of the Officer's default abilities, yes.

  • Also, make the cooldowns longer. The special abilities are too powerful to just be on a 2 turn cooldown. Also, the Target Lock in the second special should not be the same duration as the cooldown.
