So I test out Palp last night..... First match up against an Old Ben team. Palp is 165 speed right now and didn't land too manny stuns, which was fine, 70% chance leaves room for it to miss, ,BUT then Old Ben does mind trick..... Lands offense down and ability block across the board. Now, my roster was between 32-42% tenacity. Old Ben was 44% potency. IF he lost the 32% potency as he should have landing the debuffs across the board would have been impossible. Am I missing something here?

Potency has more weight than tenacity. Try running a Yoda lead against driods and watch in dismay as a 10% potency 88 lands debuff after debuff on your toons.

But it can't be. With all of the "normalization" complete numbers are numbers. 44(potency) minus 32(palp leader) = broken mind trick. Yet it landed better than normal. My Rey has 2 tenacity mods and is sitting at 44%. Yet she was stuck with offense down and ability block. I think it buffs potency not reduces it.

I agree that there is something off about mind tricks, it consistently goes on all my team against Ben leads. My %40 potency, potency boosted 88 almost never pulls the same trick. So it's rather about Ben than Palpy being broken.

I have been running Old Ben for 2++ months solid. I don't think that's the issue. He didn't land much until he got a potency plus sign mod. Now he is landing consistently. I wanted to get away from old Ben. I was the second guy on my shard to start using him. So here we are now and my shard has about 75% of the top 20 using him, I thought surely palp will break every old Ben team there is. How can he not? If you take away 32% potency ther is no way old Ben lands 2 debuffs on 5 characters. It's just not possible,

I think it buffs potency not reduces it.

Where does the 12 come from? Palpatine reduces Jedii and Rebel potency by 32%.

I don't think it's palp's leader skill being broken. I think it's mind tricks. Seems like the 70% chance to reduce TM is being applied to the other effects too.

Than it would truly be broken as ability block and offense down are supposed to 100% chance to process.
