Poe Dameron's speed

I have a 7* Poe and I'm raging as hell when 4* 5* or 6* Poe in enemy droid team has a turn faster than mine, and then my team dies.
Just a ragequit, sorry
  • The stars don't add speed, his gear does. So it's a 50/50 chance whose poe goes first. I don't like that so I don't use poe in the droid mirror match.
  • @Pindasauskanon well i dont have a droid team but Poe is the main key cause my team is not very speedy and the only way i can win is using him:)
  • If you want a tank thats quicker than Poe, taunts and increases your squads Turn Meter... Look at the Ackbar/Poe combo.
Also, gs, Rey, sid, Yoda all quicker than Poe- try not to be reliant on his taunt
  • I could be wrong here, but i am pretty sure the defending team gets a small speed boost at the start of a match, i think if you want to be faster than the defender you need to be alot faster.

    This is wrong.

Speed is 100% based off the character + any leader buffs. Gear is what gives speed, not * levels. Yes, that means a 2* Poe and a 7* Poe could mean the 2* Poe goes first.

In the event of the same speed, a virtual coin flip occurs and whoever wins goes first. If you're like me when it comes to RNG, just assume the A.I. will go first 99.9% of the time :)

I know its not level, and i guess int he end its just RNG, my Sid is max gear and always goes second to other equal Sid's, while it may be RNG, i had just assumed the defending team gets a small speed boost to make up for the defending team being AI controlled.

Seemed the most reasonable explanation to me.
