Should you really do a poll/feedback post giving your and biased opinion? That's a rhetorical question as you've invalidated it by swaying voters.
On first look, the update doesn't look good. I clearly misunderstood what revamping Galatic Challenge meant. It's my least favourite game mode because of the amount of time it wastes and the hidden counter feats I utterly despise. So, maybe ignorantly I thought CG were on the same page as me and were going to do something about this aspect of GC.
As for the reward structure, it doesn't look good. However, it is really too early to tell without data. I think for the average player (maybe you at 2 years) it'll be fine. However, players that aren't going to buy the pass and used to get red crate over 75% of the time, will lose out.
Fair criticism—but you’re assuming I made this poll with the intent of objectivity, and that wasn’t the case. I made this poll because
- I was noticing post after post of angry players that seemed just as frustrated as me, if not more frustrated. I felt it would be better to have all these grievances concentrated in one single post.
- I genuinely wanted to see what positive aspects exist in this update, because my mind tends to focus on the negative and I have a difficult time recognizing the positive.
The personal rancor in my original post aside, I tried to make the questions themselves more objective precisely so I could have the pros and cons clearly laid out for me to explore. It’s been really interesting though!—there are some aspects that are better than I realized, there are negative aspects that have been personally affirmed for me, but then there was a third category of things a lot of people don’t like about the game that I had never even noticed or considered, so that’s also eye opening.
