That’s Raddus, the name of the Resistance flagship. The flagship that will require Admiral Raddus, the squad character, is Profundity. I can see where the confusion is coming from, and I do that all the time so I’m not going to say a damn thing against you and hope no one else will, either.
But the events running on 11 and 30 September are for a totally different ship."NicWester;c-2378433" wrote:

Oh OK, cool. I was getting a little FOMO with my 5* Admiral Raddus and 5* Outrider- Disruptor923 years agoRising ScoutEveryone is free to build their rosters however they want, but I don't see the point of people rushing to unlock Profundity day 1 as f2p by dropping crazy amounts of crystals. People are dropping like 20-30k crystals just to get everything ready, but for what? Just to get a couple hundreds of crystals more from GAC and/or Fleet Arena? The crystals you pay to be ready day 1 are much more than the crystals you'd lose by not having it day 1. Like, if you don't have it immediately, you might drop a bit in GAC and earn let's say 30 less average crystals per day over a full gac event. But it makes much more sense from an efficiency standpoint to sacrifice those 30 crystals per day than to spend 30k to have the ship ready day 1. 30k is way more than what you would lose by dropping in GAC rank. Even if your fleet arena rank suffers a bit from not having the new ship, it will still not be enough of a loss to justify the spending of 30k crystals. The only exception is perhaps if you are in THAT one crazy fleet shard. And one Profundity more is not gonna matter in TW the way the matchmaking is at the moment anyway. For whales it's totally fine to rush it of course since they buy the crystals anyway and don't really care for that kind of efficiency, but I don't understand why any f2p player would do that, regardless of whether they have a lot of crystals saved up or not. In 99% of the scenarios you're not gonna make profit from that investment. Just wait a bit and then get it for like a small fraction of the cost.

Summer holidays. I had a crystal stash, free time and a few cocktails. - Disruptor923 years agoRising Scout

Ok, so let's excuse your case as "drunk spending", or whatever you want to call it. Fair enough. But there's still tons of people who do that on a "clear" mind. I'm just wondering if there is any valid explanation to their actions other than "I just felt like it". - Screerider3 years agoNew AdventurerWell, 200 Crystals difference in Fleet Arena is 200/day x 30 days = 6,000 Crystals/month. Dropping a Division in GAC is another 20/day + end of Round and end of Season crystal differences, is likely another 1,000/month at least.
What's the interval between Profundity Release Event and the Event's subsequent return? - ccmoose3 years agoRising NoviceIf it matches Executor, it'll return every month. Each month, iirc, you get 10 shards for free.
So, from a pure crystal calculation standpoint, you shouldn't take more than 3 cycles to max? But the difference in cost to max in month 1 vs month 3 is 2 refreshes. So... yeah... makes sense to max early, imo - Screerider3 years agoNew AdventurerOh, yeah. That makes sense. You cost yourself 3 months of GAC and FA Crystals (~20,000) to save two 999 Crystals refreshes. Seems worth it.

well, it is August...
Biggest issue is simple, not enough people have spent their relic materials to take Malgus and AdRad to R9 (at the more expensive cost). CG wants as many people as possible to burn materials BEFORE the title update that removes carbonite and bronzium relic materials from the R8/R9 receipe. Once we've reached their target metric, they'll release the title update and we'll have Profundity.
