You get that a lot of this is intentional right?
Most/many events like this are based around encouraging players to build up toons that they had previously neglected. It helps to keep the old “content” (older toons) relevant because now they have a use.
Usually the toons/factions chosen are those that relatively few players had invested in.
That’s by design.
If you’re choosing to ignore those factions and instead farm what you like, then congratulations! You are playing the game the way you like. There is nothing wrong with that. You just can’t expect to have the same experience as those who made different choices, based around pvp progression, instead.
