Hi - I was hoping we could get a precise time for the raid blackout from someone in the know. We know it is the 27th, but not what time on the 27th, and that’s important to help us use all our tickets without going over and losing the raids!Current guesses are midnight PST11:00 AM (ish) PST with an update3:00 PM (ish) with an updateSomething else? But no one knows for sure. So if we could get an official word, it would be lovely! Thanks!

There won't be a compensation, you will get full raid tickets (something you would get anyway during a week) and that's it.

In addition judging by the lack of them telling us what the new rewards will be, I suspect the rewards for the new raid won't add up to all the rewards we would have gotten with the old raids combined in a week. I want to be proven wrong, but the track record for CG isn't good at all when it comes to this sort of stuff.

Go into it with a "glass half full" attitude and you will be less likely to get dissapointed...But the worry is the glass will be a quarter full or three quarters empty. But, if the TB impulse detector discussion is any indication, most that want them won't be happy with anything less than a boatload...Meanwhile, folks that don't need them will be outraged if they replace even the slightest amount of GET with them....Either way, I guarantee the forums will be flooded with folks complaining that the rewards don't suit exactly what they want. Absolutely the forum will be flooded with complaints. It’s going to happen whenever they release the information. I don’t dispute that. I just have hard time understanding why they consistently give as little information as possible and allow rampant speculation to take place. I highly doubt the reward structure isn’t finalized and if it isn’t well it should be. The forums will need to burn themselves out might as well have released the info and let the burning start.

Certainly less but that doesn’t matter at all to the discussion. Point is complaints are going to happen and they’ll burn out and people will move on. What’s the point of not releasing the reward structure already? Now the value of releasing the reward structure is the questions of what the reward structure is ends. They’re not creating buzz by “keeping us in suspense.”

This is easy: August. One time, 6 years ago, they told us we were getting something in August. August came and went, and the raid never came. Then when it did come, it was clear they screwed something up. So no, they just tell us the absolute bare minimum, so when stuff is put into the game we can't say "but you said!"

So, we likely won't even get a forum post with rewards. We'll just have to wait to see it in game.

I have a question about the new changes to the current raids, seems I've seen it in writing that we're only going to be able to participate in 1 raid at a time, so with that in mind are these changes to the raids going to keep up with the rewards we'll be missing out on due to this change?

They're adjusting the raid rewards to make up for what we're missing by only doing one raid at a time. No one knows what this looks like yet, so the jury is still out on how well the new system will fill the void.
