"Questionable" AI serves its purpose

Everyone complains that Daka revives 5 times in a row or that Dooku teams dodge 50% of the time or that Leia can't be killed while she triple shots your team for 15k damage a turn... But the AI is so stupid that if it didn't have some sort of advantage it would be too easy.

I personally think it's all in the player's mind and it's just random consequence... But that's a matter for debate.

But honestly the AI should have some sort of advantage. It should be even tougher to really see what your team is made of. Basic strategy will allow a team that is 5k power level lower than another to still pull out a win by paying smart. It would be so much different if we could actually fight another player in real time.

Please keep that in mind before you whine about Daka or Dooku or Leia or whomever else is perceived as "OP" at the moment

Personally I doubt it but I hope that the AI does get some sort of advantage... It's makes it somewhat more challenging and allows you to see if the team you are running is really worth anything or not

  • The only thing more frustrating is being on when it happens - refresh and see that the team that bumped you is 1 level lower and 1k-2k less power.

But, keep in mind - this is by design. You need to keep attacking if you want to move up (i.e. you can't "just" have a good team). You have to spend crystals if you want to keep attacking ... or if you want to lock out near the payout. The system is designed around you having to be active and having to spend premium currency, plain and simple.
  • I ride around in top 10 on my server... And anyone playing on it could tell you I don't run typical teams. I feel like most of the random teams I play around with aren't hard to beat while attacking... But maybe with AI "benefits" they are..

On offense my empire team can beat any team I've seen put up as of yet...and that includes the cliche Dooku and QGJ led teams which are pushing 34k power and have gear 9 RG on the roster. But I think if you were to attack that same empire team it would be an easy win for anyone.

I like to think that it's all just RNG and the AI has no impact... but I feel like the AI should have some sort of preferential useage of skills and that is what makes battles somewhat challenging

    As it should....

Yes, so how is it classified as horrible and deserving of stat bonuses?

If the AI didn't attack your healers or characters with low health it would be all too easy... Is it just pure circumstance?

The AI seems to have some sense of attacking the vulnerable or most important (healers) but sometimes it doesn't...

It does dumb stuff... Things an actual player would never do.

So it only bears weight that the AI should have some benefit because of that natural computer idoicy that we as humans can easily overcome
  • ....Dredge

You still hear it stil all the time... "They dodge all the time and my team never does"... "They always get assists or resists or whatever makes me lose"... The house always wins.

    Is it perception or reality?

Although it's been dismissed by the devs, if it truly does exist is it really a bad thing?
  • I for one am glad AI is bad. Winning consistandly on offence is just more fun. Currently i can beat every team on my server. I had to avoid some teams in the past when my crystal income was at stake, not worth the risk of a potential loss. That's fine too, some sort of reward for having a better/more progressed team is a good thing (imo).
