I'm not saying it was like that, but just saying we can't know what's happening behind the scenes and it could be "both" instead of "either/or"

What are you even trying to say here? I'm trying, but i can't figure out what it is you're implying.
Sabotaging the game you're getting paid to code for and risking your job in the process also seems rather unlikely to me, if that is indeed what you mean.
It also means we (the playerbase) can't blame ea/cg for being a greedy bunch of .... , which is even worse than having to deal with this screw up for some of the forum posters.
