Release Cadence

2 years is fair enough considering that Ewoks and Nightsisters are not exactly popular factions. Will the average player miss them? Not enough to do anything about it. It remains to be seen if outside of double drops people would farm Nightsisters over mods or other stuff like Jedi or Empire.

2 years is good. You probably can get married and have kids and forget about that "new toon".

Phoenix did not. Their cadence was truncated due to Thrawn.

The list if characters that are being released in marquee events thus following the release cadence has not grown in months and the characters only available in special events is quickly approaching the same length.

I bring them up because it seems like CG didn't like how little money they were getting from thay cadence because knew they would be farmable in a couple months. So now they are brainstorming new styles of events so as to not follow the cadence.

We have Wicket and MT as Marquee events that have an altertion so that they don't follow the normal release cadence. We also have Zombie and Spirit who are not marquee events so do not follow the release cadence.

What is the point of having a release cadence if it's not going to be followed?

Also they said Wicket and MT would farm at a similar rate to a Hard node farm which by my maths would make them a weekly event, as getting around 10 shards a week from a single hard node would be slightly below average.

The spirit of the release cadence was to have a toon released and follow some schedule to become farmable. Previously toons could be released and no one would know anything until the end of some seemingly random time period they would get placed and we could have access.

Yes the new toons are not following the same direct path but they are following the spirit if the cadence and are all becoming farmable. This is a new type of release that allows players to have more repeatable playable content.

They can do whatever they like with factions I’ll never use, like Ewoks and Nightsisters.

Legendary events and hero's journeys are completely different and *better* for us as you can get the character at 7* immediately with other characters you could have already been farming without having to use any of your energy or currencies specifically on that character.

Hermit Yoda is not from an event, he's in a store. The currency for that store coming from TB is no different from guild store currency coming from raids. ROLO is the equivalent of a raid character.

They are following the cadence for all toons except Zombie and Spirit. <

Wicket and MT are both marquee events that after the prescribed period of time will become F2P farmable.

The only part of this they are not following is that they specifically state where they will go in the cadence and this is a different location. But still farmable, and for those who are farming single HN toons, the timeline of the farm is probably going to work out to about the same. If you notice they have left the door open to have the events more often then once a month, just not longer.

again the idea/spirit of the release cadence came from toons falling into a void after "release". so the idea here was to have a plan where they go from release to farmable in a similar manor. They are still adhering to this, and just modifying the farmable location.

A hard node farm from one node took less than a year at 3 tries per day. If they keep the 5 tries per day it's more like 7 months.

Over 2 years for Talzin/Wicket does not work out to about the same.
