What if members are absent, should they get rewards for being absent? This is a silly idea.
Agree there. Thus is the laziest idea ever. Talk about something for nothing.
They contributed to launching the raid, it just saves us all the BS rules we have to implement to get around the poor guild communication tools. You shouldnt have to download a separate app to overcome the game's glaring weaknesses."Jimbob;881467" wrote:
Can not believe people are disagreeing with this.
Never underestimate the of chest thumping internet toughguys. Fear their mad 0 posting skills!"DarthBlartMC;883199" wrote:
Don't you think it would effect participation of the raids if people got rewards and didn't have to show up?
Why? Do people not deal damage in your guild after they post a 0? All it does is cut out the stupid middleman of the 24 hour rule.- Big time +1 for OP !

Perhaps a way of making sure that they have to have logged in since last raid to get an automatic zero.
Agreed. Players that didn't log in during the raid should not get rewards. And if they DO log in, they will most likely also perform an attack in the raid.- scuba759 years agoLegend

I think if your guild is at a point where you have to have 24 hour no damage rules, then this is not an issue
But not all guilds are at that point, that's the problem. Like yeah this is great for guilds that can just run through heroic rancor raids in like half an hour, but the ones that struggle with it will see lazier people not helping and it will hurt the overall progress of the guild.
So if your guild can't finish the raid because some people don't take part, then they get no rewards anyway (along with the rest of the guild). It's pretty easy to see who is not taking part in the raid and to replace them.
It's a lot more work and effort to make it possible for 50 people to get in the leaderboard when the guild can finish the raid in a few minutes.
Either way requires some effort in guild management.
But my point is, it just isn't that hard to get 50 people on the leaderboard when your guild can do the entire raid in 20 minutes. If your guild is that fast, they know exactly what theyre doing and they know to post 0 damage before hand. The weaker guilds get less activity in terms of recruitment and they are going to be the ones that get the short end of the stick here. I'm not saying this wouldn't be a nice thing for guilds that can complete the raids really quickly, I just don't think it will benefit all guilds. Maybe after your guild completes enough heroic raids, or theres some timer that you beat it in, they give the guild 0 damage no matter, what, but I believe that giving free 0 damage postings in weaker guild will encourage laziness and then encourage not participating or helping for free rewards.
I see you point about stronger more active carrying the weaker less active. I will say that is going to happen no matter what though. I hate make arbitrary rules since the game won't let us actually manage the guild/raid.
If we actually had better raid/guild management tools this too would not be an issue. It seems though we need to expect the simple things in coding in this game and a 0 for all in guild at raid start is the simpler option then more complex raid/guild management features. - VertigoBeast9 years agoSeasoned Ace

Agreed, if there were better and more complex raid features and guild management features this wouldn't really be a problem, but the guilds in game are extremely simple and don't really have the capacity for easy management. I just think that while most people here on the forums think it'd be nice, it's not quite as simple for other guilds. - Have everyone registered automatically tied for 50th and rewards expire after 2 days if not collected.
People still won't be happy, the problem is the T7 is so easy and flies by. Even if you register for 0 and miss it, many people still end up w a good rank, gear and credits esp if your player ID regularly puts you at the top or you don't have a large guild.
If 90% of the guild get rewards but so low it's menial while 10% get 5x more because the raid time is ideal for them it doesn't solve the underlying problem of allowing people who want to put the effort in to have a fair chance at a good reward. - Why stop there.. why don't we just get auto collect on the free energy etc.? :D
- This would be a simple add that would save a lot of leader/officer guild management
