I was thinking of saving gems for an 8x chromium pack. Is it really better to do refreshes?
Yes. Buy one chromium for the guaranteed char (first single chromium is 99% of the time a full char, but no more. Get refreshes, get gear and toon shards. That'll help a lot, also decide NOW what team you're farming otherwise you'll lag behind if you switch halfway.
I fell into the 1%... ended up with half a Maul... I think it was just his legs. Needless to say, I wasn't happy.
