Remember that Luke’s journey started with just farmboy luke. It wasnt until later when we needed other toons
Yes but didn’t they hint that we would need certain other characters too?
Those were flash events not the heroes journey.
They did hint after the flash events - Luke would rejoin friends or familiar faces etc.
