It's really only a problem for Free to Play players, since you can buy credit packs in the store for crystals. At a push you can convert squad arena store currency to credits - very ill-advised as you *should* be buying Prestige, but it's there as a last resort.
Prestige even gets to a point that you don't have to buy it anymore, sitting on 5k right now and haven't bought any of in a long time.
