Datamine suggests this- Ships are the next major update. Not this one. We've got some time before that happens.

Ships it is. - Definitely tournament. Do not see any resemblance to ships.
- Jesse's update seems to indicate that that ships will be in the big(gest) update which will roll out later, after pvp tournaments and possibly the new raid.
- There is a new notification that we should look into our inbox for a new message. But there is nothing in the inbox, yet.
