Shard Chats = cheating

lol so funny you think people colude? I guess they all want top 10... like you do...but if the shard would be muted magicaly, what? they would stop wanting top 10, how about you cry to CG to extend the rewards from 1 based on activity in zone rather then bashing snipers that snipe like you lol

So you lack this things why do you think you deserve 1? because what you got zep or rex? because you snipe, I suppose if you were on a chat you would complain about snipers and how CG should do something about snipers

Double standards, zep is good but a top 10 team it is not...not alone anyways
Take 1 20 minutes before AND QUADRA lock for 20 minutes - spend 300 crystals on this like many coluders end up doing becuase of all the snipers 50 first refresh 100 second refres - for climb then lock in maybe refresh 2-3 battles timer

its unethical that ppl not within a shard that would normally hit 1# if not ppl were excluding said person to reach 1#. and constantly hammering said person. but i do believe in a larger group of ppl who would hit 1# to work together and cycle so that all benefit equally, that i got nothing against. that just seems fair imo. and until ppl from my ship shard join chat, its a lockoutfest, i got one guy battling me for 1 there and i can kill all his ship in 1 minute. he would do same to me so, yeah. he will if given the opportunity, fair enough. 9/10 times i beat him anyway. and he do better in arena then me so i dont feel bad about it.

Daily shard-rotation could help, but it seems CG likes it the way it is...

Collusion in arenas exist because most players are pragmatic and have determined that it is the best means to co-exist with your otherwise rivals. The fact that payouts occur anytime between 5PM and 7PM for most players is ridiculous and most people have serious commitments during those times.

If not for shard chats, SWGOH life would be a lot more stressful. Imagine worrying about getting sniped while you're participating in work meetings, driving home, playing a game of sport or having dinner with your family. So much easier knowing you can land a high spot in character and fleet arena and know your shardmates aren't going to take your spot.

I'm in shard chats with 30+ players in both arenas and its quite cordial - aside from the odd little drama. Outliers who take on the group have their rough edges ground down soon enough.

SWGOH is won through diplomacy, alliances and pragmatism. Shard chats are a means to make those concepts a reality.

There is no rule suggesting you cannot be social with the people you're grouped with in a mobile game.

The only way to reduce the effectiveness of such chats is to reorganise arena shards on a regular basis - like every several weeks. That's a logistical nightmare because you have players competing for payouts at each hour of the day and it would mess up somebody's payout. It would also need to randomise your ranking. Imagine dropping from 1 to 1073 or something. It couldn't be made to work.

Another idea is to change the payout system so that your payout aligns with the highest tank you're able to achieve in any 24 hours period. The current system of forcing you to accept payout in such a fine window is silly and is what drives chats and alliances.

its not cheating, you can argue collusion.

Its legal and annoying but if you want, you should collude with others with your own alliance.

you want to get #1 or higher up then fight for it and have a team worthy of holding on D.. As a competitive person I enjoy battling folks throughout the day so just deal with it. Nothing is owed to you or given to you nor should anything be expected! You want it, fight for it.. Either sack up and get on board or go play something else where you wont get your feelings hurt..

arena is “pvp” and I think all these care bears need to realise that, most are just butt hurt because they have been denied access to the shard chat, mostly because the meta changes and they manage to climb up to close to top 20 for a day and expect entry.
Alot of these guys will have been up the top for a while and focus more on arena than the avg casual, putting more effort into squads and mods,
should these guys just roll over to some random who feels entitled to reach top rank with an inferior squad and mods.

How about we all disband our shard chats and these people complaining will have an even harder time reaching the top.
The tops guys would just shoot down an inferior team regardless of “shard chat collusion” which I don’t think people seem to understand.

The shard chats have made arena kinda boring imo and I’ve been on the verge of just going rogue on my own shard quite a few times because of people feeling entitled to reach top ranks
