You clearly have little understanding of how swgoh works. The great nerf was obviously lost on you, so let me explain it to you. The off meta counters to gls have been mostly eliminated, so the number of gls absolutely matters. It acts as an artificial boost to skill because the opponent cannot defeat them without their own gl (with rare exceptions) regardless of how much skill they have
