I feel like you'll get a lot of support for this idea...

I think the thread title implies OP thinks no one likes skins, because they never please. I'd argue based on current events that it's a matter of opinion.

Wait - so no matter how many skins we have, we'll never be pleased with them? I can't see why we would want more than one if that were the case...

Indeed. More units, particularly non-capital ships would really benefit the game. It might not be everyone else’s cup of tea, but I’d love to see more units from the Legends (the old EU). There are so many with great stories in the (now non-canon) lore. Crix Madine, Talon Karrde, Joruus C’Baoth, Corran Horn, Ysanne Isard to name but a few. Maybe even the ssi-ruuk as a whole new faction.
