Smuggler Event & Stormtrooper Han

+1 to this! STHAN was a smuggler. CG should review the canon.

I suppose next everyone is going to complain when Princess Leia and R2 are not required for Jedi Luke. The shock, the horror!

Whether or not STH and OG Lando are smugglers really doesn't matter. Qi'ra is an easy farm, as are L3 and Yolo. You are gonna want the Solo toons at some point even if they are not needed for any legendary toons. They are super fun to play with and Yolo can replace Wampa/Raid Han/Asaj on the AA HAAT team and solo the whole freaking thing. They can go 6/6 in any LSTB mission and are very, very good in TW. Don't sleep on the Solo toons!

I do agree that both STH and OG Lando should have the tag, but you are all better off with them not having it if it gets you to farm Qi'ra and L3.

Han Solo is a smuggler throughout all of A New Hope. Han “joins” the Rebel Alliance at the very end when he makes the decision to help Luke and shoot at the Tie Fighters in the Death Star trench.

The decision to exclude him and any others is for whatever reason beyond any of us. It is what it is. My frustration is with the God awful rewards for tier 1 and tier 2 and really sticking it to new players. There should be slicing mats for leveling tier E and D mods at a minimum. Those 2 and 3* mods were and are a poor decision.

It's definitely cause they don't want too many easy toons usable for the event. He was smuggling people to alderaan at the time

Not only is he in the act of smuggling at that very moment... he keeps reminding the group that he’s only doing this to get paid and that he really wants his money after they escape.

I actually agree with ST Han not being a Smuggler. For the very brief time he was dressed as a Stormtrooper, he only had two very specific goals; 1) Rescue Leia to collect the financial reward, and 2) Escape the Death Star. Neither of those goals have anything to do with smuggling. He was smuggling before and after that time frame but none of his actions were smuggling related while he wore that uniform.

Why does Clone Wars Chewbacca (Who wasn't yet a Smuggler) have a leader ability, but his later self('s) doesn't have the leader ability?

So because unforseen events happened in the middle of carrying out a smuggling job, he isn't a smuggler during the brief window of time in which these events occurred?

That brief period of time happened when he was still in the middle of the smuggling job. Just because the planet was blown up doesn't mean the job ended. He still had to take them some place and was still smuggling goods that were being pursued by the empire (the droids). That literally makes no sense at all lol. The goals at that time are irrelevant as it all happened while he was working the smuggling job...Clearly as a smuggler he wants to escape and not be charged with smuggling by the empire or have his ship (source of occupation) taken from him and why would he pass on the opportunity to make even more money on top of what he was already owed for smuggling them? And after escaping and rescuing Leia he had to smuggle them to the secret hidden rebel base...
