Well according to the logic in this thread, there is only one solution. Lando, sthan, wedge and Biggs all need a zeta. Otherwise people couldn't keep using the same arena team for the entire lifespan of the game and would have to farm new ones. Since that's apparently not ok, just buff all characters that were ever useful in arena since the game started.

Thing is, they don't need a zeta because they can beat droid teams just fine. You just need similar gear and decent mods, but every team needs that anyway.

I wasn't saying droids should be the baseline. I was directly countering what I quoted. Kello claimed this thread was supporting the idea that Unimatrix not being able to beat droids with his rebels meant rebels should get zetas. I was simply saying that even if droids were the baseline (which I agree, is not a valid one), his statement is false because rebels can beat droids all day long.

Rey and Phasma have a zeta, though Phasma doesn't need one necessarily because First Order had a complete rework (including introduction to the realm of zetas). Geo Soldier could use an update, sure, but that's a single character that is easily replaced by other assist-special attackers. Droids are an entire faction.

Ok, you're completely right. The 5-6 characters that were added (one every few months) that allowed droids to stay competitive is exactly the same thing as having to shelve your entire team to work on a new meta.
It used to be phasma leading Rey, rg, QGJ.
That was replaced with rebels: wedge, Biggs, Lando, st han.
Then it changed again to include chaze (2 brand new, hard to unlock characters which few people have).
And now it is turning to zader, tfp, boba, shore.

Do you see how having je introduced months after hk-47 came out is different than that?

And my point was that even with a zeta, that same old rey team doesn't let me beat the current meta teams...by your logic I guess she should get another one until she can.

We have all had to move on to totally new teams multiple times in order to stay competitive, droids have been lucky enough not to have to do nearly as much of that until now.
So you aren't getting a lot of sympathy from non-droid users on this one.
