TopHat also mentioned that Mal will be the first Cap ship that can summon a unit (not an RI).
It was brought up in the podcast interview that this thread is about.
Also interesting was to hear dev perspective on the way that they have to think about things versus the player perspective. Short term vs long term, global vs individual, etc.
Yes. This.
The numbers are what interest me most. 40k affected by malak. 20k had him 7* already. Leaving 20k with a really annoying issue. Annoyance and frustration is on both sides, clearly. This isn’t the Producers where cg is looking to make a bad game.
Idk how kenobis ship can be a waste when thrawn and tarkin aren’t great in Geotb. Do people think Mace is going to help in Lstb??
Also cg sees the numbers and activity we don’t. According to them the game is fine. It has annoying issues but that’s everywhere.
We also know when a movie or new sw stuff is released is a big time for the game. With episode 9 coming around in like a month I expect big things again.
Hopefully they implement something that helps brand new people as they said they would.
While I don’t agree that there is a silent majority of players that are cheering every cg move. I think there are players that are still playing, spending, and engaged everyday. Every you tuber has said they are still playing or keeping their account.
And they are still monitoring new implementations in the game.
Sooo —> CG we need a little more access to gear.
This is something they are aware of and actively monitoring.- Question on ships @Vinny_Vader_Vedi , why do you say Thrawn is bad in Geo TB? Chim+HT = automatic win most of the time.

Only because I think HT is the key, not thrawn. I can usually sneak in a win sometimes with out ht.
And... I think Mal will be the Creme de la creme for it.
Bad was a poor choice of a word. - thrawn/tarkin will probably be a weaker choice instead of mal.- NotRealUltra6 years agoSeasoned NewcomerYeah, I’m worried how difficult fleets are in LS TB without negotiator and Hounds Tooth, for my guild, DS TB fleets aren’t very important or malevolence since Hounds Tooth can do everything for us
I’d rather 7* negotiator first then focus on malevolence but the latter is very important for fleet arena / TW and GAC - if there's a company picnic this weekend it could be aaaaaawkward
- So the policy "punish small guilds" is going to continue. "Nice" work with Malevolence.

That should teach you! AND STAY DOWN!
-CG- Vaderizer6 years agoSeasoned NewcomerFor whatever it's worth, I unlocked Malak on the first run and I felt they should've just let the error go. Screwups were almost a guarantee, and allowing some free shards of a character that's on his third? fourth run? really doesn't seem like that big a deal.
The best thing they could've done was go "Well, crap. We screwed up, but we know you guys already got the shards and rollbacks suck, so we're letting you keep them. Enjoy it." And then actually fix the event for the next run instead of applying all these goofy bandaid fixes. "Ravens1113;c-1994633" wrote:

CG makes enough money to have a team working on bugs on the weekend, when they have a service running on the weekend.
Imagine being on a train on saturday and it breaks down.
We have technical issues. Our team will come in 8:00 am on monday to fix the issue. Have a nice weekend.
Mass transit and phone game are different levels of priority. And also different levels of manning. Your analogy is nonsense.
If the train breaks down and there's no plan B, people are stranded. If one event in a phone game is delayed by a few days, that is not a big deal. No one is stranded. The game's not even down; everything else in the game is still going.
The situation in GoH isn't even the train breaking down. It's the bathroom on one train car being out of order. It is not an emergency."Pile;c-1994462" wrote:
So they're adding the Malevolence and LSTB is to close the chapter on clone wars huh? Doesn't seem like there is enough time to release any more new ships so what's going to synergize with Malevolence outside of the vulture droid?
The Geonosians and IG-1000. There are enough splash units available, which is most of how ships work anyways.
With just bugs and hunters you can make a fleet with strong synergy across.
However malevolence synergies with separatists based on the limited event we had for him. We need a few more. Getting a ship for Asajj or Dooku would certainly help.
As for the problems plaguing the game,
Sure it’s not as serious as people being stuck on a train, however in comparison within the game itself, this is becoming more and more annoying and more serious as time goes on.
Their quality testing is failing more and more.
Bugs in almost every aspect of the game are hindering progress and how enjoyable the game is, not to mention their willful ignorance to the gear crunch getting worse doesn’t help at all.
Adding more gear to farm, with newer character releases without making older gear easier to obtain is a problem. Adding necessary characters not just for the meta, but to even participate in character events or TB style gameplay, and putting them in one of the only areas to farm high demand gear forcing a choice between gear or character is not good either.
You should listen to the podcast. Tophat talks about all of those things you mentioned.
As far as software and such - anything that I have ever heard about that industry is that bugs happen. No one wants them to happen but they do.
Is it annoying - sure. Is it annoying for everyone- yep."Ravens1113;c-1994206" wrote:

I'm not sure if TopHat is a developer but even if he is, one developer doing a podcast doesn't mean no one else is still working on bug fixes
They have time to podcast but no time to fix anything
If its a silly bug and you cant fix it
Then why are you even employed?
Didn’t the developers peace out and say Monday they would look into it?
Unfortunately this game runs on the weekend too. As with most companies, if there’s an issue on the weekends, they need to say “back to work till this is fixed”. Plenty of private sector businesses make their employees work overtime on the weekends for massive screw ups
Considering the "stellar" job they did when rushing out the first fix, do we really want them rushing out another fix? Maybe they are hiring a new team that starts on Monday; one can dream, right?
