Suggested Re-work of Pit Raid Rewards
With the advent of Zader, the Pit Raid has become easily solo-able for any type of player with a Zader team (we had 4 last night). This creates an inherent problem with the current raid reward structure. Ties in the raid standings are broken based on Player ID and, as such, this locks players into a place, regardless of performance in the raid. There is nothing the player can do to improve his position. Raid after raid, you will finish in the same spot, or lower, as more Zader teams come online.
Not only does this impact the players, it impacts the guild officers, as we (I am an officer in the guild), try to come up with more guidelines and rules to mitigate and distribute the inherent inequality in rewards.
There is a simple and easy fix to this for the players and the officers: Allow the guild leader an option to 'normalize' raid rewards. There are a couple of ways of doing this, from equal drops for all, to keeping a tiered system in place for credits and guild coins, but normalizing gear and shards, etc. If you want to keep competition in newer Pit Heroic guilds for Han Shards and gear, then maybe require completing 50 Heroic Raids before this is an option or require the guild to complete a Heroic Tank as the perquisite for normalizing rewards.
Another option is to drop the same gear for a tie... 10 people solo, there are 10 first places awarded. This option would work, but does have some potential drawbacks and exploits.
In any case, the system is unfair for advanced guilds and needs a rework, and this is from someone with a favorable player ID.
