Tank TakeDown HP

Anyone has a clue about the amount of Damage required in total or on each phase in normal and heroic mode?

Right now we launched a normal mode and without damage overlap the health pool of phase 1 seems fairly gigantic.

This leads me to the point that if the Heroic mode has far less health pool than what we see right now in normal mode, then the limit to 5 squads in normal mode is a bit silly.

  • Just extrapolated it from our run current raid damage, this looks about right. So basically if your guild is not composed of 50 super hardcore members you get stuck to play the normal mode raid which feels designed to slow progression drastically.
    At 34.000.000 a guild would need roughly 125 squads to clear just phase 1. That's half the maximum amount of squads a guild is allowed to use before a reset. And for most guilds it is more since they either don't have 50 players available at a given raid or don't have everyone with 5 maxed up squads. It feels a lot worse than Rancor T6 / T7 ratios used to be.
    It is a pity normal mode clearance was not mandatory to unlock heroic. We would have then been able to get Team Instinct and other VIP to comment on this aspect of the new raid rather than see them bypass it and wipe the floor in less than 1 hour with the end game content.
  • Yeah it is crazy that the health pool of a normal, at least for P1, is almost 10 times that of a heroic.

    So you either:
    run a normal, take a week, conservative guess, to clear but loose out on raid tickets
    Or
    Run a Heroic and pray you clear it but don't hit ticket cap.

    Difference is that heroic tank is not really easy like t7 Rancor

    Exactly. They changed the mechanics to force the raid bosses to get in attacks, went a bit overboard on the health, at least on normal haven't tried heroic.

    We're crawling through a heroic, top 10 contributors all have 1 mil or more and 48 have done at least some damage and we have just cleared p2 now with not damage spill... I think with that total we could almost clear t7 Rancor
