In stage 2, all you need to do is debuff Baze (and everyone else) with Ventress and then stun Jyn with Daka (or Ventress when it's her turn again). Then it's just slogging through the HP. Probably because most people don't have good enough nightsisters for the last tier. And if they do have Nightsisters at decent gear levels probably only daka and ventress. (Personally I don't have Daka either and ventress is only g7 or g8). Empire is just the best for control, but if you have a slower empire team, the anti-empire abilities of Chirrut and Baze will prove problematic.
I know a lot of people probably don't have a high star/gear Maul yet other than whales, but I had him in there at g8 and he was a huge reason it was so easy for me. Sure, the rest of my team is was g10 other than Vader at g11, but AOE daze stops Chirrut from countering (After maul's turn because it's still bugged) which will stop him from healthstealing after every time you hit him and stop him from assisting baze if Baze ends up getting a turn. Other than that Boba was able to ability block Jyn and Chirrut and Cassian which makes them a lot less dangerous especially when they're dazed as well. After that, the team isn't hard to beat, you just need to make sure you can deal some damage. TFP under a EP lead is great in this part because he'll gain lots of TM and help you take baze out of the picture. Vader and EP didn't really do all that much other than add to the damage in the last fight for me (only got 1 stun in, but everyone was already ability blocked so it didn't make a huge difference.)
