Some terms I've seen here I really just don't understand."In my shard" I see used a lot with regards to the Arena.ZetaMetaDruidAlso, if there is some standard character abbreviation usage? I know some of them, but a lot get tossed around that I have no idea who is being talked about!

Arena leaderboards are often called "shards" - they're a group of a few thousand people that all started playing at about the same time. Zeta is the highest level ability mat (green, blue, purple, Omega, and Zeta). Meta = most effective tactic available, but really gets used to mean "what everyone else does". Druid? Ummmm....kinda like a cleric, but nature based. Has to be true neutral and can't use metalic weapons.

Shard is your arena grouping.Meta is the current mix of toons that is being used, could say the "best team" but that's not really true.Zeta is an "end game" ability material, collected from the ship segment of the game.Druid....your guess is a good as mine. You would need to ask directly about any abbreviations you don't know

The 8th rank of a character ability requires either Omega materials or Zeta materials. Omega materials are uncommon, but are given out occasionally as rewards for level 70+ activities. Omega abilities are usually very good. To get Zeta materials, you must progress far into the ship battle mode. Zeta abilities are almost without exception very good, and some of them are incredible."Meta" refers to meta-game, which is the style/form of play that is determined (usually by consensus of the players) to be optimal for any given time or place in a game, and so the crowd of players follow it because they all want to win. It is the information about "how to play and how to win" which you can learn by reading forums. "Meta" because the information comes from outside of the game.In SWGOH, the meta for new-ish players is widely considered to be Rebels: Wedge + Biggs, probably teamed with either Lando & Stormtrooper Han, or Baze & Chirrut. When players gain access to a greater variety of Dark Side characters, the meta tends to move toward Empire or Sith teams because they are capable of beating Rebels in arena.

My current Arena team is level 74 Rebels (Wedge, Biggs, Leia, Ackbar, Baze). I didn't really know what "meta" was, just saw that everyone was using that in Arena. We'll see what I move to next!I really don't know about "druid," all those others make sense. Thanks all!

Druid = Droids? Just go to characters and select them on the filter. They will pop up

It stands for Random Number Generator. However, like "meta", it has taken on a meaning other than what the acronym stands for. In most situations (especially video games), "RNG" is used to cover any situation where something is randomly decided (or pseudo-randomly if electronic). For example, if Darth Maul has a 20% chance to evade, you might see something like "I hate RNG because Darth Maul dodged multiple times in a row", "Darth Maul dodged multiple times in a row; that's some bad RNG", or even "I should equip this accuracy arrow to help my RNG against all those Darth Maul dodges". A common synonym would be "luck" or "chance".
