Territory wars match-making

Dear EA,

Will you do something to fix the match-making algorhythm?

It's the 3rd territory war that we're competing against guilds which have more than 10mio PG than us... It makes the interest much less fun that expected to be, unless it's something voluntarily...

Thanks in advance for your answer.

  • Same for us. We are a guild of 48m gp up against a guild with 68m gp. Only 38 of their members signed up as opposed to 49 of us so their gp was pushed down. That doesn't consider the fact the average player for them is like 1.5m gp against our 1m. It's unfair
  • Why is it so hard to understand Territory Wars related subjects go into the Territory Wars subsection of the forum ?

Maybe because some of us don't come here everyday and know how this forum works. The frustration generated by TW grows everyday, perhaps it's time to do something about it.

We need to consider these as big problems for the game. EA/CG, I applaud TW, I firmly believe this is great. The idea of guild v guild made me uncomfortable from the first time I heard it, but you've made it very well balanced in many ways, you've made it so guild gp does not dominate, as I've seen weak guilds putting the weakest defense possible to fill every slot, and going full offense, wasting their bigger opponents heavy offense, and going straight for the tie. What they were really saying was, "if we can't have first place then neither can you." I really think it shouldn't be like that however. Everything about TW is nicely oiled, EXCEPT matchmaking. Please consider a new way to match make, because as it is, top tier guilds like ti or republic etc are having players sit out to matchmaker against weaker guilds, then just as fast crushing them, since the players are 2.5m+ Up to 3m+. Thats really not balanced. I understand that everything can be exploited legally, but all were asking is a little revamp that includes ties giving 1st place, or even a 50/50 chance on ties. Guild X ties with Guild Y, and they get placed on a 50/50 chance on who gets 1st and 2nd, just like raids. As it stands, having 7 stars gives more power than being at G12. That means that a guild with 50 seven stars at G10 is stronger than 50 3 stars at G12, but in reality a 3 star NS team can crush just about any 7 star.

TLDR: TW is amazing but it's being exploited in a legal manner that makes it angering for a lot of people. Great concept, great design, terrible flaw.
  • We set the absolute worst defense this time - I got people a little burned out and 13 people didn't even set a defensive team. I went through covering as many slots as I could. Figured we'd lose again....
And then we get matched to a team way way below us. Steam rolled them. We were down 260 points and it didn't matter. Just saying, I don't mind winning, certainly not the rewards - but lets face it - this wasn't a matchup.
We were on the other side last time - I think our defense was TOO much last time - didn't have enough power teams to overcome the opponent - we got it handed us pretty badly.
Among thousands and thousands of guilds, I feel like something can be done.... It's not exactly a challenge when your TW opponent feels like new GW, nor is it really fun when your opponent can do almost the same thing to you.
  • Ties should not give 1st. It would b exploited and everyone would get 1st. Defensive teams wouldn't even get set.

This is similar to "we want arena payout for the highest spot we attained all day" garbage.

    Earn it.
