What was the max number of defense units you could assign in each area? If it was less than 25, it means not all or your guild members signed up for tw. And if it’s around 20-21, then quite a few didn’t sign up which could bring their active gp down to <80mil and hence in your gp bracket and a possible opponent for you. If you are at full strength then you could be 25 vs 20-21 which could be ad or disadvantage depending on who sat out on their end.
I'm not 100% sure how the number if defense units is determined. My guild locked in at 50 and yet we can only deploy 23. So, either they determine that because the other guild sent 46, or, they sent 42 (the sum of both guilds ÷ 4) the latter seems to be more correct as the guild we are facing would've had to drop 10.5mil go to get it our bracket. That being said I feel we shouldn't be at a disadvantage because the other guild sent less. We should have 25 defenses and them 21 or 23, depending on which figures are correct. If guilds want to sandbag them make them pay. If the 21 is correct then that would put them in the hole a bit. 1st it would allow us to gain an additional 800 banners for more defenses set and 2nd it would cost them 40 squads to clear our defenses. I don't like that we have to suffer for their greed. And loose without even a chance to actually win.
You have a point, because in a situation of many squads vs. less better squads, the less better squads will always win because the more squads can't set all of them on defense. I understand why they made it like this, but it can make it hard for small guilds with deep rosters
