- This is a terrible payout structure and horribly lazy on the devs part. Ship-wise, it's the same as character tournaments - but most level 80+ players have dozens of 7* characters. How many people have dozens of 7* ships?
Wow. This is a very poorly designed tournament. - Vader's ship unlocks at 80 shards, that 4*. That means the top 25 ppl on each tourney shard will unlock him. If u aren't sitting on a load of Ally points u will just throw them away when u could save them for something u really want down the road.
- I'll do it for the building materials. I should be able to get 900K - 1.1M with minimal effort.

Yep - tournament payout structure is horrible for the stage of the game in ships.
Phase 1 - release great new ship content
Phase 2 - less than a week later, release a tournament that totally invalidates Phase 1.
Good work devs. The tournament structure would be like releasing 7* Vader one week after game launch. So incredibly disappointing - and so lazy.- It seems only top 25 can get the ship from Bader
- Whether u face ppl with deep rosters, or bunches of ally points or 5* ships they paid for....it wouldn't matter. There will always b something to complain about. Ppl that invest in the game is the only reason there is a game. They invest to have an advantage and will ALWAYS have an advantage regardless of the venue. The sooner u accept that, the sooner u can stop trying to compete against them...or maybe join them.
Lotta new stuff, lots to do. Enjoy the game. I never heard a single character in Star Wars complain that they got the short end of the stick at birth on their mitichlorian count or that their rust bucket wasn't as cool as someone elses, or that the Force screwed them over. "HobaFett;776585" wrote:
Kinda wish I'd paid enough attention to how many shards were needed earlier so I didn't keep buying ally points I could have been investing in ship shards, ah well, my bad for being oblivious!
Since hearing about the tournament I've just been saving GW tokens - enough ships I want come through GW (which rotates 4 times a day) that I can spend them quickly enough if I dont want AP for tourney, but I'm not committed to AP count (and behind on ships). Since GW have so much use right now I think being a couple days behind on spending them might help with decisions like this- +1 to @Nikoms565
A tournament itself is very tiring. It is designed for people ready to die staring in their phone. To provoke people playing for 8-10 hours in a row at some shards... It is unhealthy, isn't it? A tourtournament every week is unhealthy brought to a square.
And this time rewards do give a huge advantage for those who actively participate. - I'm going all in for it so if you see my top tenning your tourney just give up :)

One person per shard will get him at 7*...out of thousands of ppl. The person that does get him is most likely top 5 already and someone u will never face. There will be no "wreck fleet arena". Plus, he only has synergy w/ Imperial Tie Fighter which dies if u sneeze at it and Tarkin's ship which hardly anyone runs. The sky is not falling...
He has synergy with everyone who has a target lock mechanic and is one of the only ones who can apply it in any way reliably.
