By no means a new feeling regarding this raid - and while the graphics are ok, yes, definitely feels like for every step forward (less attempts per cycle than Endor Speederbike Raid) there's multiple steps back (longer battles, enemies have ridiculous speed and TM gain modifiers, etc.)
I'm both psyched for, and dreading, the fact we're probably only a couple months from the new raid. Hope it's miles better QoL then the present one.
I agree with the first part, and, oh boy, do I agree with the second one.
The graphics and theme for this and all the other raids are amazing. Gameplay, however? Compare it to the Krayt Raid. The KDR had new and exciting mechanics, it had different tiers of difficulty and regardless of which tier you entered, it felt like a challenge/puzzle while at the same time being manageable. How did they strike a balance between the two? Because, each tier had stacking bonuses and new abilities for the enemy, but the player modifiers were also significant enough that even the lousy teams like Jawas and Tuskens could get the max score for that tier with a bit of effort. I would like to emphasize "a bit", as in not enormous. Meanwhile, the Naboo raid, while interesting in terms of thematics, gives the enemies ridiculously stacking [insert stat here], the enemy modifiers, both tier and leadership, are overwhelming, the characters we are required to use are garbage for the most part (even Yoda isn't that great unless he's in a JKR, JML or JMK team), and the character modifiers are downright insignificant. The Lumi team, for example, relies heavily on having PotUp and HoT to do any actual damage, and even then most of that damage comes from your team counter attacking, so if only 1-2 of your characters counterattack at a time, it'll take you a while to beat just one wave; plus, especially with the enemy bonus turn modifier, it's more than likely the Command Droid will get a bonus turn and suddenly dispel your entire team, at which point your so called Jedi Masters will look like nothing more than mere Padawans trying to break down a steel door with wooden sticks. The most I can do is the R7 tier, but from what I've seen and heard even the R9 tier is an absolute nightmare. As I have said before, regarding this raid and other areas of the game, I don't mind a challenging event. I don't even mind having to spend 15-20 minutes on a single battle. As long as it relies on actual skill, instead of its being an RNG fest where even your best strategy can be ruined before you realize what's going on.
And that's where we come to your second point. This raid is so frustrating I just can't wait for it to be over. At the same time, however, I can't help but fear the next one will be even worse.
