The New(old) Datacron Cadence
The new datacron cadence is bad, and you should feel bad. No part of this change is player friendly. It's so painfully obviously designed to drive more spending to try to match the kinds of datacron inventories we were able to farm previously, and for fear that our opponents will be spending and will have more full inventories than we're now capable of having without panic spending.
While I'm sure it's working on some, for players like me who've been around forever, and are not big spenders, and remember the game when it was much more player friendly, all it's driving is increased dissatisfaction with the game. I've never been a massive spender, but I was spending. I haven't since the horrendous anniversary updates. It's just not the same game anymore. It's not the game I've been in love with for 10 years.
That being said, this effect is cumulative. I chose to keep playing after the anniversary updates when many I know did not, to see how things are handled moving forward. For every awful predatory change you're making from here, you're doing nothing but driving increased game dissatisfaction, and you're only going to be able to do that so many times before you're just going to drive us straight out of the game. Do your long time consumers a favor and pull your heads out of your butts CG, will you please?
