Plenty of people have achieved lvl 65 or higher F2P, so it's definitely you.
Don't forget that they bleeped folks who unlocked Maul at 4 stars. Depending on how you spend and how even you're keeping people, that 1300 Mk4 stuff you're missing could keep as many as 3 toons from breaking the L55 barrier. After that the Maul problem disappears, but they definitely shorted people 1300 Mk4s (and, weirdly, made up for it in the 5-star Maul haul).
I didn't write anything about 4-star characters. Because with 4-stars, people leveled all their characters to level 70.

That's the point though, they didn't. If they invested in 4 stars, one of their era characters was arbitrarily and unexpectedly locked at level 62.
Have CG made any comment on the fact that they're penalising people for investing in the marquee character? Unless they come up with a solution for this next time round, I certainly won't be putting in the crystals to unlock Cassian. What's the point if it just prevents you from getting the other marquees up to a usable level?
Not that I've seen. But yes, they're penalizing ppl for getting the 4-star unlock and then "fixing" the penalty if you spend enough to get all your toons to 5 stars. It's pretty ridiculous and IMO should be fixed. But they'll do what makes them money bc they're a corporation. That doesn't make them more evil than anyone else who works for money. The immigrant restaurant owner and the doc at the hospital all work for cash. But it does mean that they're slow to respond to problems -- even ones which ultimately might affect their future cash flow -- if they can't immediately see the monetary benefit.
