This won't solve everything, but it might help with gear...

...for us that are at that epic gear bottleneck you start reaching at gear level 9+ and player level 70, what about this at level 80???

Idea

At level 80

That box below the Guilds too the left of the Mod Store opens up or in some other area.

In it is a GEAR RECYCLING CENTER and STORE

Watto (or) Unkar Plutt run it.

Once you reach level 80 you can offload gear in the Gear Recycling Center for Store Credits towards any gear that you have unlocked and specialty raid gear items.

Sure it won't be an equal exchange rate, but it is better than the tons of gear sitting going too waste.
  • So like a shard shop for gear. Not a bad idea. They have gear in the shard shop for shards, but this would convert gear to currency that could be used for gear.

Nice idea, but could cut into $, so likely won't be implemented.

I think if you look at QOL issues like this, you have to look deeper than the immediate bottom line. Something like this will make players HAPPY. Happy players are more loyal and spend more.
  • Like I said, it is not a fix all and sure at first there would be a run on the house until you run out of spare gear that is.

However those issues can be addressed by the limited quantities of purchase in the same time brackets everything else is set too. Plus the standard cost of 50 crystals and so on to reset the store would bring in the revenue that makes it a profitable deal for EA too.

But yes pretty much like the Shard Shop or an addition too it, but the exchange rates would need to be far better.
  • The gear bottleneck is 100% intentional. Great ideas to alleviate it will not happen.

When there is mass complaints they give you alternative ways to ge it. Like fleet shipments. Of course you have to sacrifice something if you want to farm gear this route. That's the devs way of solving it.

But if the devs completely ignore the playerbase the game will go the way of Star Wars Uprising. Yes games with Star Wars licenses can die with poor development teams.

A simple conversion over 10 to 1 when going up and 5 to 1 when breaking down (to prevent arbitrage) would do wonders for this game.
  • Lets just jump to the end of this story....lots of irresponsible players dump all there gear into it...convert everything...now the have no gear pile...at all and get a few mk5 furnaces or whatever...then start trolling forum about exchange rate being unfair...revolt, civil war and chaos rule the galaxy, force wielders are no match for sudden effect, the galaxy dies, the game dies THE END.

Or, you know, they could just stop giving you the same gear every single raid.
