Thnx for nerfing Lord Vader

It was really hard to trash LoVer with Kylo-daka-zombie and even IT, but now it's a lot easier
So thank you for nerfing him. Didn't check if SLKR + full FO can wipe the holotable with hum, but seems like it's now possible.
Pity that I unlocked him though, but it's also nice to have another looser wheel-chaired character like that zombie palpatine to laugh of.
The only negative effect to it is that it's really hard to counter GK now with non-mirror teams, so I hope for some boba-like character against GK for GA

Technically this was a bug fix, not a nerf. They accidentally made him better than he should have been.

If you believe it was an accident. Wouldnt surprise me if this is a new bussines strategy to make character look better when they're new while allowing CG to tone them down before the next big thing comes out. They did a similar thing with Malevolence not too long before Executor was released.

One of the things Lord Vader requires is absolute maximum relic levels on the team. A lot of people don't seem to understand that but the way his mastery increase works it takes a couple r8s at least to achieve full value. Whereas with Kenobi for example he's still going to ramp up damage no matter what

So that in mind I find most of the people who complain super hard about LV being trash are people who are running him with a couple r3s on the team and that genuinely does make him really mediocre

Now if you want to complain about that being a crappy thing then sure, I get it, but the character itself is totally fine if put in the right scenario (again that being LV with a bunch of r8-r9 teammates)

Wouldn’t be surprised if LVs 2 non-GL counters still work against a full R8/9 team.

It's not new "strategy". This happened a lot with introduction of new meta: NS, JKR (Jolee), DR (fBastila, Malak), Negotiator (Anakin's ship), Rey team (after owning FO, devs buffed SLKR 3-4 times in a row and then few buffs here and there, most buffed character in history of swgoh), QGJ's omicron Chimera (Tie Reaper played with TM), Cheeze meta (Chirrut), R2d2 (thrawn got buff after R2d2's event).
Well, this happened often even with non-meta
But It's funny that character which is supposed to be a new "trump card" gets nerfed just so the favorite "SKLR" can have a better chance at him, and other teams like IT

If a team is not the best on defense my advice is to use them on offense

It all depends on the lineup.
Just with every other GL - try defending with GMK without CAT.
Try LoVer with Maul against GK with CAT =D

So? A toon has to beat everything on offense to be good?
The most expensive GL? Well, he has to be on par with GK or at least to be strong against him but weak against... for example Rey, GK can beat everything and defend against nearly every team. What is a point of LV if he struggles against GK?
What really IS the point of LoVer in this game?

I think the problem is clear:

Capital Games got far too greedy with the Lord Vader requirements.

You can't have it both ways, CG. Either we have a balanced game where, as you stated at the outset of GL release, all GLs are roughly on par with each other,

OR you have ever increasing requirements encouraging more and more spending, and have to make the latest the greatest to compensate. (or risk a situation like Lord Vader with all the whales screaming about how underwhelming he is for the requirements)

I know which one the players will choose.
You need to keep your heads and stop thinking with just the customer's wallets- after all, wasn't the nerf to Darth Vader and GAS vs GLs to "ensure the future health of the game" ? It's all for nothing if you start making ever-increasing power tiers of characters.

Still hoping for R9? Here, bet he can auto him at this point
